Job Title: Commercial Officer Location: Glascoed, South Wales Salary: £43,648 What you’ll be doing\: Reviewing and analysing contractual documentation such as Terms and Conditions and NDAs, identifying and communicating terms to stakeholders Collaborating with Integrated Delivery Teams (IDTs) to shape responses for both new opportunities and evolving customer requirements Drafting high-quality commercial documentation for senior-level review, and preparing detailed proposals for client submission Interpreting financial data and understanding basic pricing models to support commercial decision-making Assisting Procurement and Supply Chain teams in preparing sub-contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with head contract flow-downs Supporting the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Manager in navigating and contributing to effective contract negotiations Addressing customer queries and resolving issues within remit, while escalating complex or high-impact challenges when needed Your skills and experiences\: Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a commercial role or defence sector Experience working within customer/client focused environment Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate and interpret and understand customer requirements Awareness of the commercial function and its interaction with wider business operations Desirable: Prior experience in a commercial/procurement role Benefits\: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
