An opportunity has arisen for a Salaried Partner to join our South West Dispute Resolution team.
Our strong team of Dispute Resolution solicitors based in our offices in London, the Thames Valley, and South West England are some of the most experienced in their field. We provide specialist legal advice across numerous industry sectors to arrive at tailored and pragmatic solutions that best fit our clients’ needs.
Our clients range from multi-national corporations to start-ups. We advise on multi-million pound international disputes and assist individuals in obtaining quick and effective outcomes.
A significant part of our work involves disputes spanning international borders and involving foreign jurisdictions. We have access to a network of international contacts through the Interleges alliance of trusted law firms, of which RWK Goodman is a founder member, in over 20 countries including the EU, Middle East, and the Americas.
Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver work efficiently on own files, ensuring profitability.
2. Supervise fee earners regarding advice, procedures, file management, and time recording.
3. Act as the senior lawyer on challenging matters, recognized as an expert in your field.
4. Build relationships with clients and referrers, exceeding service expectations and supporting partners with key clients.
5. Expand your expertise into new sectors or increase market share.
6. Lead thought leadership initiatives based on legal and market developments.
7. Develop department know-how and marketing materials, supporting team members.
8. Provide leadership and management, setting SMART objectives and supporting team achievement.
9. Manage team performance and supervise work to meet KPIs.
10. Ensure profitability by understanding contractual billing and cost management.
Skills, Experience, and Attributes:
* Qualified Solicitor or CILEx with experience in commercial litigation.
* Established client following and business plan.
* Exceptional client management skills.
* Strong business development skills with a track record of converting activity into work.
