Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning, communication, or behavioural needs
* Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies set by the SEND team
* Adapt learning tasks and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement
* Support the pupil with emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence-building
* Use positive behaviour support approaches to maintain a calm, safe learning environment
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff
* Monitor and record progress, feeding back observations to teachers and professionals
* Support the pupil during classroom activities, small groups, transitions, and unstructured times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, or communication needs
* Is patient, nurturing, and able to build positive, trusting relationships
* Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
* Can adapt swiftly to the needs of the pupil and respond with sensitivity
* Remains calm under pressure and follows safeguarding procedures consistently
* Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential for the right experience)
