About the role
Pay Details: Grade 5 SCP 8-12 £26,824 - £28,598 Pro Rata £13.90 - £14.82 Per Hour
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours, Monday to Friday
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a motivated and organised Finance Administratorto support the Corporate Appointee Service within Social Services. This role offers and excellent opportunity to contribute to a service that makes a difference to people’s lives.
Description: To provide a financial administration function including the set-up, billing and maintenance of corporate appointee accounts, liaising with internal and external providers of social care and the Department of Work and Pensions. Giving appropriate information regarding charges, processing of payments and billing for social care services, preparing contracts for placements and third-party payments.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has experience of maintaining accurate record systems
2. Has experience of working within an office environment
3. Has experience of customer care and partnership working
4. Is effective in using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook
5. Has excellent numeracy and literacy skills
6. Can multitask, prioritise tasks and manage conflicting demands
7. Has strong organisational skills
8. Can communicate effectively
9. Can pay attention to detail
10. Has the ability to use own initiative
11. Can undertake work in accordance with set standards and deadlines
12. Has the ability to work flexibly within a team
13. Has a minimum of 4 GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent, including Maths and English
14. Is willing to undertake appropriate training
15. Is Customer orientated
16. Can respond to changing needs of the post
17. Has the ability to multi-task, prioritise work and manage conflicting demands
18. Is willing to undertake debt recovery and deal with sensitive situations including organising funerals
19. Is willing to be supervised and understands the importance of supervision
