JOB TITLE: Associate Enterprise Architect
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Halifax or London
SALARY: Regional £48,000 - £53,000 | London £56,000 - £62,000
HOURS: Full time, 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for passionate and collaborative Associate Enterprise Architects to help shape the future of our technology landscape. In this role, you’ll support the strategic direction of our architecture by contributing to roadmaps and patterns that guide our transformation journey. Working closely with senior architects and stakeholders across the business, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our solutions align with both our architectural vision and business strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Support architectural strategy across platforms and products, aligned with tech and business goals.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology decisions drive strategic outcomes.
3. Assist in creating architectural documentation for governance and compliance.
4. Contribute to agile delivery with architectural insight from concept to implementation.
5. Research emerging technologies to inform design and foster innovation.
6. Participate in governance and change initiatives to uphold architectural standards.
7. Invest in your development and support a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
WHAT WE’LL NEED
Architecture & Technology
Enterprise Architecture experience with good working knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and exposure to a range of modern technologies including some of the below:
8. Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and hybrid hosting architectures
9. APIs, microservices, and modular applications
10. Data strategies (data lifecycle, ETL, data modelling, governance)
11. Cybersecurity
12. Technology sustainability
13. Payments, digital transformation, retail banking
Collaboration & Communication
14. Strong communication and storytelling skills
15. Ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, product, and business teams
Continuous Improvement
16. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with tech trends
17. Willingness to drive process improvements and adopt best practices
