Overview
Role: Hire Controller
Location: Widnes
Days of work: Mon - Fri
Times: 07:30 – 17:00 (42 hours per week)
Salary: £28,589 per annum, pro rata
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure customer needs are met and that they are satisfied with our service.
* Operate desk-based and work with other departments, stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure readily available equipment.
* Support colleague wellbeing through core contracted hours, and help identify more balanced work patterns, including flexible start/finish times, shorter days, term-time hours and job share opportunities.
* Participate in Speedy Career Line of Sight to understand routes to progression within the Speedy Group.
Requirements and qualifications
* Strong organisational skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Adaptability
* Commitment to learn and develop
* Driving licence
* Previous experience within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
* Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
