Novak & Parkes is a design-led interior studio delivering high-end residential and show home projects across the UK. Our work combines strong creative direction with detailed execution, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and in line with programme.
As the studio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of delivery and procurement across multiple live projects.
The Role
This is a delivery-focused position with real accountability.
You will manage the operational side of 3–6 projects simultaneously, overseeing programme coordination, subcontractor management and procurement scheduling. The role is primarily office-based, with site visits at key stages of private residential installations to ensure works are executed correctly and efficiently.
We are looking for someone confident, commercially aware and comfortable holding authority with trades, suppliers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed project timelines
* Ensure projects move through stages in a structured and efficient manner
* Identify potential risks to programme and implement solutions
Procurement Planning & Control
* Build and manage procurement schedules from approved design spreadsheets
* Align ordering with project timelines and installation dates
* Monitor supplier lead times and proactively manage delays
* Coordinate staged ordering to support cash flow and storage management
* Manage procurement sequencing in line with approved budgets and client funding status
Subcontractor Coordination
* Schedule and coordinate trades
* Confirm attendance dates and manage sequencing
* Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings and specifications
* Address issues decisively and prevent unauthorised changes
Client Communication (Delivery Phase)
* Act as primary point of contact during the delivery stage
* Provide clear updates on timelines and installation schedules
* Maintain professional boundaries and manage expectations
Site Presence
* Attend site at key installation stages for private residential projects
* Oversee installation progress and resolve issues on site
* Ensure projects are ready for sign-off and handover
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in project management or delivery within interior design, fit-out, construction or similar sectors
* Strong programme and scheduling skills
* Experience managing procurement and supplier coordination
* Commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Calm, decisive and solutions-focused
Experience within residential interior delivery or design-led environments is highly desirable.
Competitive salary in the region of £40,000 – £48,000, dependent on experience and capability.
We are looking for someone who can operate confidently at a senior delivery level. Salary will reflect proven experience in managing design-led projects and subcontractor teams.
