Job Overview
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Band 7 Schools In-Reach Team Lead to join our forward-thinking and supportive service. This role is part of the wider leadership and management structure of the CAMHS Early Intervention Prevention and Promotion (EIPP) services in Gwynedd and Mon. It plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between schools and specialist services, working in partnership with education staff and the ‘whole system’ to promote early identification, prevention, and intervention for children and young people experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
This role offers a chance to directly shape and grow the evolving Schools In-Reach service. We are seeking a qualified professional with excellent leadership and managerial skills, significant post-qualification experience, and a commitment to service improvement and transformation. Welsh language fluency is essential.
Please contact Elin Sanderson (EIPP Strategic Lead) for further information: 03000 852450 or Elin.Sanderson@wales.nhs.uk
Main duties of the job
If you are passionate about early intervention, promoting mental health and wellbeing for staff and learners, and wish to offer your leadership and clinical experience, this exciting role is for you.
The ability to drive and travel across Gwynedd and Mon counties, and occasionally across North Wales, is essential. Fluency in Welsh is mandatory for this position and advantageous when working with schools in these areas. If you cannot work full-time, alternative working patterns will be considered. This role predominantly involves working with adults, providing consultation, and building the capacity of education staff to respond to emerging mental health needs of children and young people. Knowledge or experience working across the lifespan is a plus.
Working for our organization
If you relish a challenge, have a passion for helping others, or are seeking a fresh start, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales offers a supportive environment. As Wales’s largest health organization, we provide primary, community, mental health, acute, and elective hospital services to around 700,000 people across North Wales. Join us and benefit from our organizational values and ‘Proud to Lead’ framework.
We promote equality and diversity and are proud to be a “Disability Confident Employer.” Regularly check your email for correspondence related to your application. Applications can be submitted in Welsh or English; submissions in Welsh will not be treated less favorably.
