The opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Senior HCSW to support children with complex health care needs.
You will work in the community, at home or at school to provide practical nursing care for a child with specific healthcare needs and others presenting with a range of complex healthcare conditions including life-limiting/life-threatening conditions. The post holder will be required to be caring, compassionate, committed and ambitious to the team. The ability to work well on your own initiative and within a small team. The post holder will be required to work mainly unsocial hour's shifts and a mixture of days and nights.
Dependant on experience you may be offered to commence as band 3 and progress to band 4 once competency achieved.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver individualised care with parents of children with complex care needs under supervision of a Registered Nurse and support the wider team of health professionals working in continuing care.
* An ability to work well on own initiative and within a small team. The post holder will be required to work shifts mainly unsociable hours and nights.
* Previous experience in caring for a child who requires long term care package in the community is desirable, although full training will be supported by the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
