Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Tavistock

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join a busy construction team. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in cost estimating and project analysis will directly contribute to winning new projects and ensuring their successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and bids for construction projects.
Analyse drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements.
Quantify materials, labour, and other resources needed for projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Maintain cost databases and stay updated on market trends and industry standards.
Ensure timely submission of estimates and reports.
Your Profile:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience in estimating or quantity surveying within construction.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway), Microsoft Project, and MS Office.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
