Description
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract for the duration of the academic year. You’ll bring proven experience of working with young people and adults in a work-based setting, with the enthusiasm and commitment to support learners in achieving their goals and moving into sustainable employment.
Please note that this the role requires the post holder to work during term time, across 38 weeks of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work with partners and colleagues to bring learners onto the programme and support them on their journey into employment. You’ll manage a caseload, creating and reviewing personalised plans that help individuals overcome barriers, build skills, and access the right training. From writing CVs and completing application forms to preparing for interviews, you’ll provide practical support every step of the way. Your goal will be to engage learners, open up opportunities, and help them secure sustainable employment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for someone with experience of supporting learners with a learning difficulty or disability, ideally within education or employment. You’ll have the skills to deliver training, track progress and put together supportive, personalised learning plans that really make a difference. An understanding of systematic instruction and supported internships would be helpful, as well as the ability to build strong, positive relationships with employers, partners and colleagues. Most importantly, you’ll be a clear communicator with a genuine passion for helping learners succeed, ensuring their welfare is supported and their future opportunities are opened up.
