Attingham welcomes more than 600,000 visitors a year. Make no mistake, this is a busy and thriving place to be that is full of life and locally loved. The National Trust team here today conserve and care for the estate carrying on the legacy of the eighth Lord and Lady Berwick who left the estate to the National Trust in 1947.

Attingham Park is arguably Shropshire’s greatest estate.
Built in 1785 and owned by the same family for five generation, today it is around 4,000 acres in size, and at its heart is a mansion, parkland, walled garden, play space, deer park and various food and beverage and retail outlets.
What you'll be doing
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll oversee visitor operations, aiming for excellence every day. You'll have budgetary control, with a focus on increasing income from admissions, events and membership to reinvest in looking after the Attingham Estate.
You’ll work with partners to bring the stories of this place to life for everyone who visits, whatever their interests and backgrounds. You’ll design and promote events and experiences that appeal to many different people, and you’ll champion the Trust’s values of welcoming everyone.
You’ll create a positive and productive work environment for your team, who take the lead on welcoming visitors, events, marketing and more. You’ll manage recruiting, coaching and developing staff and volunteers.
This is a busy, exciting and fast-paced role, with plenty of variety and responsibility. You’ll lead duty management, and you’ll deputise for the General Manager (including at weekends), as well as running visitor operations and helping to shape our plans.
Who we're looking for

4. adept at leading operations, including rotas, budgets and planning, across a complex site
5. a collaborative leader who takes time to support people in your team and beyond
6. experienced in organising events and exhibitions supported by targeted marketing
