Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Portsmouth hybrid
Hourly Rate: £42 PAYE OR £56.62 Umbrella inside IR35
Duration: 18 months
Key Responsibilities:
To execute all material procurements in conjunction with the Engineering, Operations and Project Management teams making sure timescales and lead times are embedded in the project planTo select appropriate make/buy and implement category / supplier solutions developed by the category teamTo work closely with the category managers to ensure contracted terms and value for money solutions are delivered and providing the best solutions for the business, that combines least cost, risk, with highest quality schedule compliance.To identify potential risks and issues and work with the wider team to find resolutions.Skills & Qualifications:
Supply Chain best practice knowledge and experienceThe role requires excellent and broad Supply Chain knowledge and a breadth of business knowledge and expertise, including good business, market and competitor knowledge as well as depth of vision and creativity and an ability to contribute to the development of Supply Chain strategies to support business objectivesSupply Chain functional people, process and performance knowledge to develop the function using enabling technologies to exceed or meet the business objectivesMCIPS or working towards MCIPS
