Role Overview
This position is initially a temporary placement at one of our outstanding schools in Altrincham. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated and supportive educators, focused on developing your career.
As an English teacher, you will play a crucial role in imparting knowledge and inspiring a passion for the subject in students, encouraging them to pursue English through GCSE level and beyond. The school's history department is welcoming and well-managed, providing a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead an English-based class.
* Collaborate effectively with the humanities department.
* Plan and mark lessons.
Important Information
* Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (dependent on teaching pay-scale).
* Full-time position.
* Start date: 8th April, until the end of the academic year with potential for a permanent role.
Requirements
* Previous experience teaching in secondary schools and a PGCE qualification.
* Excellent literacy skills and the ability to effectively communicate with students.
* A passion for English and its importance in education.
