Your Mission:
As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering projects. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Design & Advise: Define functional designs and provide expert advice, ensuring all engineering data and methodologies are validated.
* Quality Assurance: Lead assurance activities to confirm that designs are robust and meet safety standards.
* Issue Resolution: Identify and swiftly address issues throughout the product lifecycle, managing change effectively.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are met and incorporated into our projects.
* Program Management: Provide realistic program status updates, identify challenges, and implement recovery plans.
* Documentation: Access and apply Quality and HS&E Management System documentation to uphold our standards.
Your Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Here’s what you should bring:
* Proficiency in classical stress analysis and the ability to apply relevant principles and codes.
* Experience with finite element analysis methods or software.
* Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing processes.
* Knowledge of naval and industry standards, including environmental regulations.
* BENg Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with significant experience.
