A well-established and expanding construction consultancy is seeking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the successful commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your new role
Reporting to senior commercial professionals, you will assist in the delivery of projects from initial cost planning through to final account. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with cost plans, budgets and pre-contract estimates
2. Supporting the preparation of tender and contract documentation
3. Assisting with procurement and subcontractor packages
4. Monitoring variations and supporting change control processes
5. Preparing cost reports and financial tracking documents
6. Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
7. Liaising with clients, project teams, consultants and contractors
You will gain exposure to a variety of project types, offering strong technical development within a professional consultancy setting.
What you’ll need to succeed
8. A degree (or currently completing a degree) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
9. Experience in a quantity surveying or cost management role (consultancy or contractor experience considered)
10. Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
11. A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial principles
12. Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
13. A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and progress
