Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students' learning and development, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
* Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
* Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Monitor and record students' progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and encouraging student participation.
* Assist with personal care tasks for students with additional needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and maintaining records.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
* A passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are an advantage but not essential.
