Become an Operations Team Member At our Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF), we make critical turbine blades that go into our world-leading jet engines. It means we’re at the cutting-edge of casting and automated technology. So, forget what you think you know about ‘factory’ environments – this is a high-tech, modern space you’ll enjoy being in every day. We use a casting process and you’ll be fully trained to do many of the tasks that this involves. Following technical instructions – much like a recipe or a manual for setting up a new TV – you’ll craft patterns in wax ready for casting, operate high-tech robotic machinery, measure and check blades for defects, and gather data using digital apps. There’s a lot of attention to detail involved, but there’s also plenty of variety in what you do each day and a great sense of achievement at the end of it. You’ll get our full support and expert training to become a capable and confident Operations Team Member.
