Macmillan Davies are seeking to appoint an HR Business Partner for a role based in the East Midlands.
The company operates as a well-recognised, multi-channel retailer known for its dynamic approach.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and execute a People Plan for specific business areas, aligning with the overall Group People strategy.
Main focus areas include organisation design, ensuring roles and structures are appropriate, as well as talent attraction, retention, and development to support succession planning.
The role also involves supporting managers in proactively managing employee relations issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create and implement the People Plan for designated functions, supporting the Group-wide People strategy.
2. Enhance HR engagement and improve the quality of HR outputs.
3. Partner with business leaders to deliver HR solutions that optimise people performance, strategy, and engagement.
4. Support line managers on employee relations matters and develop suitable solutions.
5. Provide organisational design support to ensure efficient structures across business units.
6. Assist managers in recruiting, retaining, and managing a growing workforce.
7. Coordinate with the internal talent team to implement talent processes, including succession and workforce planning.
8. Collaborate on delivering transformational people change projects.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded HR Business Partner capable of supporting various Head Office functions and integrating into the Business Partnering team.
This role will test your generalist HR expertise, requiring a credible, commercially-minded professional skilled at managing a broad range of tasks and projects to completion.
Your approach should be solution-oriented, valuing judgment and knowledge in the business context.
You will engage with entrepreneurial leaders who expect excellence.
As with many retail businesses, attendance at the site is expected daily, with the Head Office located in Nottinghamshire.
