We are looking to recruit for multiple Assembly Operators to work for a family-owned company based in Lewes. The post-holders will be responsible for sign assembly to required levels of quality, output and efficiency, whilst ensuring all housekeeping requirements and safety guidelines are adhered to. 25 hours per week (with optional Overtime available) Monday to Friday, 3.30pm to 8.30pm Full training will be provided Key Responsibilities: Maintain critical quality requirements relating to products, achieve and improve build times, assist in other areas of production as instructed according to the needs of the business When required, operate materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks following health and safety procedures at all times Ensure work areas are kept safe and hazard free and report any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures Keep good, tidy organisation of work place and assembly methods Contribute to company team work policy and ethos, attend meetings as required Inspect or test product accordingly, as required Must have : Good eyesight and attention to detail and hand skills Good communication skills Ability to understand and and follow the relevant procedures, standards and engineering documentation Awareness of safety issues and ability to follow instructions/guidelines Flexible and positive approach to daily duties and training, able to work on own initiative and willing to learn Desirable: Experience of using hand tools (crimp tools, wire strippers, powered screwdrivers) Experience of soldering, cable preparation and crimping Benefits: Paying up to £13 per hour, pension (3% employee, 6% employer) 24 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 days with long-service (5 years) Private medical cover (after probation) Two annual fully funded staff events (Summer/Christmas) Cycle to work scheme If interested please contact Lea on (01273) 597999 (Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm) or apply with a CV below!
