This position is initially a 36-month fixed-term contract. You will be employed by Teesside University but will work at the business partner's premises daily.
You will have access to a dedicated training budget for your personal development, industry-leading technology, and supervision from a top academic research team at Teesside University. The business partner, A.V. Dawson Limited (T/A Port of Middlesbrough), is a multimodal freight logistics and port operator based on the River Tees, North East England.
This KTP aims to develop an AI-powered, self-reflective digital twin of holistic port operations to improve logistics efficiency and support sustainable growth, positioning the AV Dawson Group and the Port of Middlesbrough as leaders in smart port technology within the evolving Teesside Freeport ecosystem.

The University may ask you to participate in several selection activities as part of the recruitment process.
This is a two-stage interview process: the first stage will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, and the second stage will be in person, where you will present to a panel.

This position is subject to the receipt of grant funding.
