About Our Client
Situated in the Kent countryside, our client is a well‑established FMCG organisation that prides itself on its strong heritage, commitment to quality, and dedication to responsible, sustainable production. Known for maintaining high operational standards and supporting a loyal customer base, they continue to play a key role within the UK's fast‑moving consumer goods sector.They are currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join them on-site on a full‑time, permanent basis.This role requires a site-based presence.
Job Description
A successful Management Accountant should have:
3. Managing month‑end processes, including preparing accruals, prepayments, and journals.
4. Producing monthly management accounts with clear, insightful commentary.
5. Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate balance sheet control accounts.
6. Overseeing daily bank activity, preparing supplier payment runs, and managing inter‑account transfers.
7. Maintaining the fixed asset register.
8. Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns.
9. Leading the purchase‑to‑pay process, ensuring strong controls and efficient approval workflows.
10. Supporting the annual budgeting cycle with detailed financial analysis and written narrative.
11. Assisting in producing rolling P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow forecasts.
12. Reporting and analysing financial and operational KPIs to support business performance.
13. Producing accurate product costings to inform senior management decisions.
14. Liaising with external auditors during year‑end, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
15. Leading and developing a small finance team of 3 (Purchase Ledger Clerk, Sales Ledger Clerk, and Credit Controller.)
The Successful Applicant
The successful Management Accountant should have:
16. Formally Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) or PQ
17. People management experience
18. Strong management accounting experience, with expertise in financial controls, management reporting and cost analysis.
19. A commercial mindset, able and willing to offer insight on both opportunities and potential risks.
20. Experience with Sage 200 (Desirable)
21. Strong communication and presentation skills.
22. A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

What's on Offer
24. Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
25. 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
