Your new company Hays Education are supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school in Wavertree who are seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team. This welcoming school places a strong emphasis on nurturing each child's development in a caring and stimulating environment. The successful candidate will work alongside the Early Years team to support children aged 3-5 during this crucial stage of their learning journey.Your new role Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework. Promote children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive interactions and encouragement. Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Provide targeted support for individual pupils, including those with additional needs. Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to learning journals and discussions with staff. Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.Working hours for this role are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday.What you'll need to succeed A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent. Previous experience working within an Early Years or primary school setting. A sound understanding of the EYFS framework. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
