Our client is a well-established and expanding global chemical and supply chain solutions company based in Manchester. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Manufacturing Production Technician (MPT) to join their experienced operations team.
This is a hands-on production role working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting production processes, carrying out quality checks, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring high housekeeping standards, and escalating equipment or process issues when required.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and improvement of efficient manufacturing processes
* Assist with workflow planning, equipment set-up, and production optimisation activities
* Carry out production tasks in line with GMP, quality, and safety procedures
* Complete all required training within agreed timeframes
* Perform routine quality and compliance checks during production activities
* Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the work area
* Accurately complete production documentation and equipment logbooks
* Report faults, concerns, or non-conformances promptly to management
* Work collaboratively to achieve daily production targets and performance standards
* Assist with troubleshooting basic production or process-related issues
* Participate in continuous improvement and workplace discipline initiatives
* Support incident investigations where required
* Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed
Skills & Experience Required
* Diploma or Degree in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Bio-processing, or a related discipline
* Previous experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or petrochemical environments is advantageous
* Recent graduates with relevant qualifications will also be considered
* Knowledge of plant operations and manufacturing equipment would be beneficial
* Understanding of GMP/cGMP and clean-room environments is desirable
* Good communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
* Experience using systems such as Emerson DeltaV, LIMS, or TrackWise is advantageous
* Ability to work shifts, including potential 24/7 operational support
* Competent IT skills including MS Office,and training systems
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Good problem-solving and basic mathematical/statistical skills
* Ability to follow written procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines
