About the Company Artemis Human Capital is recruiting for an Operations Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the Dungannon area. With a workforce of over 350 employees their business is built on innovation, quality, and efficiency. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an Operations Manager with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to drive operational excellence and develop a robust operational framework across the site. Role Overview The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, optimising performance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. This role will focus on developing and implementing operational structures, improving productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring efficient resource utilization to meet strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of daily production operations across multiple departments. Develop and implement a structured operational framework to support growth and scalability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, Standard Work). Identify, analyse, and eliminate sources of waste (materials, time, motion, energy). Collaborate with wider teams to improve process reliability and product quality. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure productivity, efficiency, and performance. Lead cross-functional projects to optimise workflow, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement throughout operations. Support training and development of team leaders and supervisors in Lean and CI principles. Manage budgets, cost control, and continuous cost reduction programs. Skills & Qualifications Essential: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field. Minimum 5+ years in an operational leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs. Strong understanding of production planning, resource management, and process optimisation. Demonstrated success in achieving measurable waste reduction and efficiency gains.
