The role:
As our NDT Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
* Leadership of the shift ensuring work is completed efficiently across the NDT department.
* Coach and develop team members, providing regular feedback on performance. Identify any training needs.
* Ensure a close relationship is built up between shifts and ensure handovers are effective and well managed.
* Liaise with the design teams to provide feedback on any manufacturing issues that can be improved.
* Drive culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to identify ideas to constantly improve.
* Set the example for health and safety ensuring team are adhering to health and safety protocols. Encouraging the team to raise concerns and create a safe working environment.
* Ensure the department delivers the highest quality to the agreed delivery dates.
* Ensure processes are followed and quality records completed.
* Act on any feedback by implementing robust corrective action to improve the operation.
* Provide regular progress updates regarding ongoing work.
* Liaising with other teams as necessary to prioritise workload to meet overall car delivery objectives.
* Managing Workday responsibilities – Annual leave request approval, RTW interviews.
* To maintain or improve the Employee Engagement, Enablement, Empowerment Indices, and results contained within the My Manager section of Peakon survey’s.
* Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the NDT working area.
* Ensure SAP bookings are completed accurately and take corrective actions where necessary.
What we are looking for:
* A demonstrated technical background in NDT, coupled with leadership experience.
* Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and product control documentation and the use of Decision Focus.
* Lead by example demonstrating PRIDE values (Passion, Respect, Innovation, Determination, Excellence).
* Showcase your ability to motivate and develop staff members.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal.
* Adaptable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload and maximising the output with the available resources liaising with the composites logistics.
* Ability to make decisions independently.
* Flexibility and a can-do approach required.
