Assembly Fitter / Welder (Contract)Bradford Shipley Horsforth Otley BingleyShift: Mon–Thurs (lates) / Mon-Fri (earlies)£23.00p/h - £26.00p/h DOE (Outside IR35)Assembly / Build / Fitting / Welding / FabricatingMy client is a UK engineering manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire. They design, manufacture, install and commission industrial process machinery. Due to continued growth and an increase in workload, they are looking to recruit experienced Assembly Fitter / Welder Fabricators to join their production team on a temporary to permanent basis.As an Assembly Fitter / Welder your key duties will include:Reading and working from technical engineering and fabrication drawingsAssembling bespoke mechanical components and machine sectionsBuilding and installing pneumatic and general pipework systemsWelding on all supporting steel structures and sheet metal fabrications to a high standard using MIG, in line with company processes and proceduresChecking parts against bill of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and conditionCarrying out quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet required tolerancesThe successful Assembly Fitter / Welder Fabricator will have the following attributes:Completed a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship / NVQ or equivalentMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar mechanical fitting and fabrication roleStrong ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawingsUnderstanding of welding symbols and processesExperience in structural fabrication and working with large assemblies to tight tolerancesConfident using a wide range of hand and air toolsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamBenefits:Exposure to bespoke, high-quality machinery buildsSupportive team environment with a focus on quality and safetyATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
