Pay & Hours
Rate of pay starts from £12.87 an hour, increasing to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Minimum guaranteed hours: 16 per week (option to work 12 hours).
Availability Windows
* Monday: 09:00 – 17:00
* Wednesday: 13:30 – 21:00
* Friday: 09:00 – 16:30
* Saturday: 09:00 – 18:00
Shifts are scheduled within these windows; we provide at least 3 weeks notice of scheduled shifts. Flexibility is supported.
About the role
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Your responsibilities will include supporting the operation, dispensing medication accurately, engaging with customers, providing information, advising on pharmacy services, ensuring SOPs are followed, maintaining a clean workspace, and completing training.
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of one of our new modern pharmacies
* Apply technical skills to accurately dispense medication
* Dispense prescription medicines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
* Communicate confidently, friendly, and professionally with customers
* Offer appropriate information on common ailments, symptoms, and products
* Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
* Advise on pharmacy services available
* Support and deliver pharmacy services according to SOPs
* Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions
* Respond to clinical and legal queries from health‑care practitioners within area of competence
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines, and inform pharmacist of any complaints
* Ensure all dispensary routines and SOPs are followed
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms
* Ensure prescription administration is accurate and completed on time
* Promote company initiatives and bring promotional activities to life
* Carry out procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely and legally
* Complete corporate and departmental training
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualifications gained from working in a pharmacy environment
* Desire to train and develop into the pharmacy field
