The Role Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to make a significant impact within a fast-paced sub-contracting environment? Our client are a leading specialist sub-contractor based in Motherwell, known for delivering high-quality packages on some of Scotland's most prestigious construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline of work and sustained growth, they are looking for a driven, degree-qualified QS to join our commercial team. This role offers the best of both worlds: the agility and influence of a sub-contractor, with the professional standards and project scale typically found in Tier 1 environments. Key Responsibilities Commercial Management: Take full commercial ownership of multiple projects from inception to final account. Contract Administration: Manage NEC/JCT/D&B contracts, ensuring all notices and variations are submitted accurately and on time. Sub-contractor Management: Oversee the procurement and payment cycles for smaller trades and material suppliers. Reporting: Prepare monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and provide accurate cash flow forecasts to the Commercial Manager. Collaboration: Work closely with the Site Management teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities on-site.
