Job Description
Would you like to work on a prestigious estate which includes some of the most iconic buildings in the area? Are you working for a consultancy with aspirations on working client-side? Are you looking for excellent employee benefits?
Beach Baker is thrilled to be working exclusively with a prestigious and long-established institution in Bristol, who is seeking to recruit an Estates Project Building Surveyor to join their professional estates team.
This is a rare client-side role offering the chance to work in a meaningful, strategic capacity at the heart of a major organisation.
The Role:
As Estates Project Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing a safe and sustainable estate. You'll lead a team of surveyors and consultants, providing strategic oversight on condition data and technical excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing building projects ranging from £1M to £3M in value, from inception through to completion.
* Developing and delivering projects aligned with the maintenance strategy and broader institutional goals.
* Managing the budget proposal process and preparing bids to improve building safety and compliance.
About You:
We're looking for an experienced, driven professional who is ready to take ownership of impactful estate projects.
* Strong track record in managing building projects (£1M-£3M).
* Degree in a relevant building discipline (Surveying, Engineering, Architecture).
* Demonstrable project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Ideally Chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB) - but not essential.
What's on Offer:
This position offers outstanding work-life balance and a rare chance to work client-side in one of Bristol's most respected institutions.
Benefits include:
* 32 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays
* Flexible working hours (35-hour week)
* Limited travel
* No fee earning or business development responsibilities
* A genuinely supportive and balanced working environment
