The Role: Deputy Manager As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in one of our vibrant children's residential homes. Supporting the Registered Manager, you’ll lead a team of passionate care professionals and help deliver a high standard of care, safety, and emotional support for each young person in your home. You’ll act as a role model to the team, uphold regulatory compliance, and help drive continuous improvement in care standards, safeguarding practices, and team performance. Key Responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager with audits, planning, and day-to-day running of the service * Oversee risk management, safeguarding, and care plan reviews * Provide supervision and guidance to care staff, promoting a supportive culture * Run the home in the Manager’s absence and complete on-call duties as required * Ensure adherence to the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards * Encourage staff development through mentoring and structured supervision What We’re Looking For: Essential: * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Full UK Manual Driving Licence * Experience working with children with EBD and/or complex needs * Proven ability to lead and motivate a care team * Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins Desirable: * Working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and quality frameworks * Desire to progress into a Registered Manager role * Commitment to completing Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s Residential) What You’ll Receive: * Competitive base salary with generous sleep-in payments * High-quality bespoke training and career development * Support to complete Level 5 Diploma * Opportunity to join a passionate, values-driven organisation with exciting growth plans * Real career progression into Registered Manager and beyond
