About Us

MacIntyre Academies\' mission is to become a leading Special Academy Trust that provides outstanding outcome-focused state education by promoting high aspirations, empowering parents as partners and successfully equipping every child for adult life. We currently have 4 Academies: Endeavour Academy (Oxford), Discovery Academy (Nuneaton), Quest Academy, and Venture Academy (Henley-in-Arden).

The Role

We are recruiting inspirational and creative Teaching Assistants to join this school. Reporting to the Class Teacher and the Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will support and deliver teaching and learning, model best practice, and enable successful learning and achievement while contributing to pupils\' spiritual, moral, social, cultural, mental and physical well-being.

Some young people can behave in a way that is challenging; part of the role is to teach safer and more effective ways of communicating needs. A level of physical fitness is required. MacIntyre Academies will, where possible, make reasonable adjustments to comply with the Equality Act 2010.

Previous experience is not required, but you must be an effective, confident communicator and able to keep accurate records of learning outcomes with excellent attention to detail. You will demonstrate facilitation and reflective practice within the role.

About You / Qualifications

We are looking for highly motivated, active individuals who are excited to work with children and young people with Autism and learning difficulties. While previous experience is not essential, an understanding of Autism, SEMH and Learning Disabilities is desirable. You should be an effective, confident communicator and capable of building relationships with learners. Ongoing training and induction are provided; the right attitude is prioritized.

You will be able to keep accurate daily notes and learning outcomes with attention to detail, and demonstrate an approach of facilitation and reflective practice with a belief in independence and choice for the young people you support.
