Job Description for Secondary School Mathematics Teacher
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Planning and delivering engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students.
2. Assessing and evaluating students' progress, providing feedback, and supporting their learning development.
3. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
4. Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and resources.
5. Participating in parent-teacher meetings and communicating student progress effectively.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in secondary mathematics.
Key Skills and Attributes
* Strong understanding of the UK curriculum for mathematics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
* Effective classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in Education.
* Experience in using technology to enhance mathematics teaching.
Additional Information
This role involves working in a school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Standard working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with additional time required for lesson planning and assessment.

Pay rates are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency in the future.
