Due to internal promotions, we have two exciting opportunities within the Business Performance team at Screwfix! We’re currently recruiting for two brilliant opportunities within our commercial Finance team, offering the chance to join a fast-paced, commercially focused environment where finance plays a key role in driving business performance and strategic decision-making. Whether your background is in Commercial Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), these roles offer excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, meaningful business partnering, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
These are 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunities.

Responsibilities
Finance Analyst – Commercial / Trade Finance
This role supports our Trade Categories to drive sales and margin performance in line with business strategy. Working closely with commercial stakeholders, you’ll provide insight, analysis, and decision support to help optimise category performance and manage risk and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor sales, margin, and rate trends against forecast and budget
* Provide insight and recommendations at category, SKU, and vendor level
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
* Analyse key commercial drivers including pricing, loyalty, and range performance
* Own reporting and modelling for Vendor Buying Agreements, rebates, and funding
* Deliver detailed category P&L analysis and ad hoc commercial insight
* Partner with reporting and data teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
About You
* Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
* Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills
* Commercially aware with experience in a retail or product-led environment
* Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
FP&A Manager
A key leadership role within the Business Performance function, positioned at the centre of the FP&A team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, FP&A, you’ll lead a team of analysts and play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the business through forecasting, planning, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
* Present financial forecasts and scenario analysis to Board-level stakeholders
* Deliver robust P&L and cash forecasting, highlighting risks and opportunities
* Support strategic growth initiatives through financial analysis and performance tracking
* Partner with wider Finance and Group Business Performance teams
* Lead and develop a high-performing analyst team
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post-qualified experience
* Strong FP&A experience across budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles
* Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and leadership teams
* Able to turn financial data into clear, actionable insight
* Experience within a large corporate environment advantageous
