About The Role
Job Purpose:
To lead and supervise the warehouse team to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of goods, maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate, and manage the warehouse team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly operational targets.
* Plan and allocate work effectively to ensure smooth warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
* Monitor and maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits in collaboration with inventory control.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
* Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions to develop team skills and knowledge.
* Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on team performance, stock levels, and operational issues for management.
* Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
* Manage and resolve team conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary processes as required.
* Promote a positive working environment encouraging teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a warehouse environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
* Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic IT applications (e.g., MS Office).
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
* Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights as part of warehouse duties.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
