Grounds Maintenance Operative - Torquay
Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Operatives to carry out tasks such as strimming, hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and much more
What we are looking for:
* Experience within the grounds maintenance industry (preferred)
* Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools (e.g. strimmer’s, backpack blowers, push mowers etc.)
* Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
* Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
* Enthusiasm, good communication skills
* Good understanding of health and safety
* Ideally have a full, clean driving license
* Will understand and the importance of working as a team
* Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
* A willingness to learn
* Ability to work on one’s own initiative
* CSCS card
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday but there will be some weekend overtime available, paid at premium rates.
Rate of Pay
* £12.25 per hour
* These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
* Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
* Weekly Pay
* No Umbrella payments or fees
* Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip
