Seren Arts & Languages Institute is a creative and welcoming educational agency based in Aberystwyth. The team of dedicated tutors at Seren have backgrounds in performance, education, and international studies, and are passionate about bringing high-quality Art and Language education to people of all ages. Seren believes that everyone deserves the chance to shine, whether they are picking up an instrument for the first time, brushing up on their Spanish, or preparing for University level French.
Role Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and skilled Language Tutors to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective language instruction to students of varying ages and proficiency levels. Tutors may work with individuals or small groups in a supportive and inspiring educational environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Conducting individual or group Language tutoring sessions.
* Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials.
* Monitoring and reporting on student progress.
* Attending professional development sessions as required by the Employer.
* Maintaining a positive and professional demeanour with students and parents.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in the target language (C1/C2 level or native speaker)
* Previous teaching or tutoring experience (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for teaching and cultural exchange
* Organized, punctual, and self-motivated
* Bachelor’s degree or current university student in relevant fields (preferred)
* TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification (an asset but not mandatory)
