Chef De Partie - Daytime Hours
Reporting to Sous Chef & Head Chef
The Kitchen team at Airfield Kitchen located at The RAF Museum Midlands are looking for a chef to join their brigade for the summer holidays to cover staff holidays and peak trading days. The Airfield Kitchen serves a wide range of food from freshly made sandwiches, breakfast and lunch along with an exciting and innovating bakery selection. The chef will also be required to support on corporate events which include dinners up to 300 in the aircraft hangers and conferences in the exhibiton hangars.
Responsibilities
* Working in a team producing high-quality food in a fast paced environment
* Confidently work alone on a busy station during peak service times
* Reliably work and complete to set tasks and workloads
* Developing and support team members
* Supporting in the creation of exciting menu concepts
* Adhere to H&S and F&H standard
* Catering for staff daily
Ideal Candidate
* Great customer service skills
* Knowledge of the Hospitality industry
* Ideally, you will have NVQ level 1 or 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent
* Proven experience as a chef
* Hold a basic food hygiene certificate
* A team player
* Self-motivated with the ability to work in a pressurised environment
* Have a ‘Can-Do’ approach
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines
The Airfield Kitchen is open everyday from 10am - 4.30pm with kitchen shifts based on 8am - 4pm each day, chefs are required to work weekdays and weekends but often work on a rolling rota with weekends off regularly.
