Finance Assistant Location: Leamington Spa Salary: £28,000 £30,000 per annum Hours: MondayThursday: 8:00am 4:00pm Friday: 8:00am 2:00pm About the Role We are seeking a hard-working and committed Finance Assistant with strong attention to detail and a high work ethic. You will support the Financial Controller in managing, processing and troubleshooting various financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all finance operations. Key Responsibilities General Finance Support Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and reporting. Support internal and external audit activities. Prepare and process financial and business documents for account checks, approvals and purchases. Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as required. Accounts Receivable (AR) Chase outstanding debtor balances. Contact clients regarding payments and queries. Help oversee and manage customer accounts. Accounts Payable (AP) Process supplier invoices and employee expenses. Prepare regular payment runs. Communicate with suppliers regarding account queries. Banking & Reconciliation Post daily bank transactions. Perform regular bank reconciliations. Resolve discrepancies by liaising with employees, suppliers or clients. Administration & Team Support Answer incoming calls and provide general office assistance. Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required. Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, occasionally assisting with reporting. Compliance & Reporting Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy. Report any irregularities or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Adhere to organisational financial policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (desired). Strong mathematical aptitude. High integrity and understanding of data privacy standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities. Analytical and critical thinking skills. High attention to detail. Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software.
