Thatcham Court is a purpose‑built dementia care home dedicated to caring for adults living with dementia, from early onset to complex end‑of‑life needs, offering nursing, residential, Parkinson's and short‑stay care. Assessment within 48 hours and sometimes same‑day admission.
Job Description
The home boasts dementia champions who improve residents’ quality of life through daily activities, reminiscence and stimulation. The colour‑themed interior includes memory triggers. Chefs provide well‑crafted menus of fresh ingredients, tailoring dishes to individual dietary needs. Activities such as exercise, music classes and reminiscence sessions keep residents physically and mentally stimulated, fostering a sense of community as staff discover and support residents’ interests.

Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with companionship and personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour, documenting and reporting changes as required by legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration, encouraging adherence to care plans.
* Provide physical and mental stimulation through group and individual activities.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

* Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home or a Health and Social Care qualification.
