Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standard of care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
* Assist service users with personal care tasks.
* Support individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the implementation of care plans.
* Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to schedules.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills to interact with service users and their families compassionately.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for those involved in home care duties.
