The Company
A well-established, independently owned sustainability consultancy based in Chester is looking to expand its team with the appointment of a BREEAM Assessor. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality sustainability advice across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments.
The team prides itself on being collaborative, forward-thinking, and technically strong, with sustainability at the heart of everything they do. Due to a growing project pipeline, they are now looking to bring in an additional BREEAM Assessor and are open to supporting training and development for the right individual.
The Role
You will work as part of an experienced sustainability team delivering BREEAM assessments across a variety of projects from early design stages through to completion. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of developments and provides excellent opportunities to develop your technical knowledge within a supportive environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone either already qualified as a BREEAM Assessor or someone with sustainability or building services experience looking to become qualified, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver BREEAM assessments across multiple projects and sectors
*
Work closely with design teams to ensure sustainability targets are achieved
*
Produce BREEAM reports, evidence reviews, and submissions to BRE
*
Provide sustainability advice to architects, developers, and contractors
*
Support wider sustainability services including embodied carbon, LCA, and building performance strategies
*
Attend design team meetings and liaise with project stakeholders
Requirements
*
Experience within sustainability consulting, building services, or environmental design
*
BREEAM Assessor qualification (desirable but not essential)
*
Understanding of UK sustainability frameworks and standards
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Training & Development

Full support provided to become a qualified BREEAM Assessor if not already accredited
*
Ongoing professional development within a supportive and technically strong team
