Senior Structural Engineer – Edinburgh
First People Solutions is currently working with a high successful consulting engineer who have grown from a small UK business to a major international player, operating in key sectors including the built environment, energy, mining, technology, government and infrastructure.
You will join their Civil and Structural Engineering team, taking on a lead designer/checker role across a range of small to large-scale projects. The role involves contributing to proposal development, managing client expectations, and mentoring junior members within the team.
Responsibilities
* Lead designer/checker on small to large-scale projects within the Civil and Structural Engineering team.
* Contribute to proposal development and management of client expectations.
* Mentor junior team members.
What we’re looking for (Qualifications)
* Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
* Chartered status preferred or close to (IStructE / ICE)
* 5+ years of experience delivering structural design projects within a UK design engineering environment
* Strong knowledge in key materials such as timber, steel, concrete, and masonry
* Confident in managing a team and projects
* Site inspection, structural assessment and report experience
* Full, clean UK driving licence
