Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you’ll apply your STEM expertise to projects that keep the UK and its global partners secure. You will:
* Design, develop, and test technical solutions for live projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex real-world challenges.

Locations
Technical Graduate roles in our Space, Defence and Intelligence area are available in London, Leatherhead, Chippenham, Reading, Bristol, Gloucester and Manchester. As CGI is a consultancy, you may be required to work in different locations, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are key.

Required Qualifications and Security
We’re seeking ambitious graduates with a strong STEM background, curiosity, and flexibility to work on diverse projects across the UK.
Due to the sensitive nature of Space, Defence and Intelligence projects, candidates must meet security clearance requirements. Typically, 5–10 years of continuous UK residency and UK nationality with a UK passport are required.
You should have:
* A minimum 2:2 degree in computer science, engineering, physics, maths, or a related STEM field (some roles may require a 2:1).
* Passion for technology and innovation, with a problem-solving mindset.
* Flexibility to travel and work on projects across the UK.
* Eligibility for BPSS clearance; higher National Security Vetting may be required.
Technical skills we value include:
* Programming: C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
* Systems & Tools: Linux/Unix, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
* Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Software Development: Agile and DevOps practices.
* Networking & Cybersecurity: Basic to advanced concepts relevant to defence.
* Data & Analytics: SQL, NoSQL, analytics tools; interest in AI/ML is a plus.
