Role Overview
gap personnel is excited to be representing our client, a reputable company in Flint, in their search for a Part-Time HR Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR administrator to contribute to the smooth operation of the HR department while enjoying flexible working hours.
As the HR Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Personnel HR Officer, assist in recruitment processes, and help maintain accurate HR records. You’ll be key to ensuring the HR system runs efficiently and assist with payroll and compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* HR System Management: Maintain and update the HR system, clear anomalies, upload new starters, and generate monthly payroll reports
* Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment admin, including job adverts, CV collection, interview coordination, offer letters, and induction paperwork
* Training and Absence Records: Update the training spreadsheet, monitor absence reports, and ensure absence records are completed and stored in the HR system
* HR Admin Support: Provide administrative assistance to the HR Business Partner and Health & Safety Consultant
* Accreditations: Manage and maintain the administration of company accreditations
* Payroll Support: Cover for payroll admin in the absence of the Personnel Officer and work with the Finance Manager to process monthly payroll
* Field Timesheets: Manage and collate field timesheets for payroll purposes
* Vehicle Management: Oversee the upkeep of company vehicles, including tax, MOT, and vehicle hire
Essential Skills
* Previous HR Experience: Minimum 2 years in a HR administration role
* Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy and organisation
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent telephone manner
* Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Reporting Ability: Able to produce routine reports and correspondence
