* Secondment opportunities are welcomed for this vacancy with a possibility for a year extension.
The Reach Resilient Communities team is looking to appoint a Resilient Communities Project Development & Communications Officer to join a dynamic team that develops and delivers community-focused projects throughout Bridgend. This role supports Bridgend County Borough Council’s succession planning for community-led local development on a county-wide level, learning from previous European-funded programmes such as LEADER and ESF Employability programmes.
The role will be part of a team focused on community development, emphasizing collaboration, collective action, and capacity building in local communities. It is an integral part of the Resilient Communities programme, which aims to make Bridgend’s communities more resilient.
The successful candidate will bring knowledge and experience in monitoring and managing resources of externally funded programmes, managing procurement processes for projects, and coordinating communications and publicity for the team.
