Is part of a global engineering group that is expanding its presence in the UK. They are a multidisciplinary consultancy working across various sectors and project types, renowned for their projects in the Middle East where they compete with the world's leading consultancies. Currently on a growth trajectory, they recently relocated their office to a new city location. The company values the development of well-rounded engineers and has a history of organic growth, rarely hiring en masse. An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to step into a Director-level role, assisting in leading a team and acting as the second-in-command to the London Director. There is also succession planning in place, with the aim for this individual to advance to a Director position in the future.
Your new role
As an Associate Director, you will help lead teams and projects, serve as a deputy to the London Director, and be responsible for hiring and managing your team with several direct reports. You will influence project decisions, manage client relationships, and be involved in the commercial aspects of the business, including office management.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have several years of experience at the Associate level, with expertise in residential, commercial, and ideally Middle Eastern projects, and be prepared to progress into a Director-level role. You must be capable of maintaining and enforcing systems, taking responsibility for junior staff, and have a proven track record of delivering large projects over multiple years. Comfort in client-facing roles is essential.
