Description
Our Design Team delivers stand-out, affordable fashion with unique style and touches that underpin the River Island handwriting. As a Junior Designer, you’ll influence the direction for menswear graphics/print and be responsible for your own styles across various ranges, representing key trends and driving commercial results.
Overview
We are seeking a passionate Junior Graphic/Print Designer with a fashion background to join our Menswear clothing design team. The candidate should be able to push the boundaries with their design skills to help us stay ahead of the market.
The Role
* Be commercially aware of key menswear graphic and print trends from catwalk to street style and translate them into tech pack-ready artworks across different product types.
* Research, develop, and create prints, graphics, and logo designs for all-over and placement applications across all menswear categories.
* Scale and artwork prints and graphics suitable for various product types.
* Possess in-depth knowledge of different print and application techniques.
* Liaise with UK-based and overseas factories and suppliers.
* Support the senior designer and manage your own designs and workflow.
* Confidently present your designs to senior management.
* Be highly versatile with your handwriting.

The Person
* Strong experience in print and graphics within a fashion design team.
* Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are essential.
* At least 2 years of design experience, ideally in a multichannel fashion environment or supplier.
* Ideally operating at or near Junior Designer level.
* Passionate about fashion and design.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver projects on time.
* Ambitious, keen, and eager to learn.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A team player willing to assist colleagues outside their role when needed.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to think quickly and plan tasks.
* Clear, accurate, and confident communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
