Description
Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees across the site.
Manage and support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, absence management, and offboarding.
Lead and advise on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases, ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
Support the implementation and optimisation of new HR systems and digital tools to drive efficiency and improve data reporting.
Champion employee wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Work with managers to develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and business objectives.
Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Support with training and development initiatives, succession planning and engagement activities.
Ensure HR documentation is accurate, up-to-date and legally compliant.
Collaborate with wider HR team on projects such as talent management, diversity and inclusion, and organisational change.Profile
A successful HR Generalist should have:
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
Proven HR experience in a fast-paced environment - ideally within manufacturing, logistics or similar sectors.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Confident in dealing with complex ER cases with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Comfortable with HR systems and keen to drive digital improvements.
Organised, resilient and adaptable - able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
