What you will do
Our team currently have a vacancy for a Software Configurator (to be based in Featherstone -or-Manchester) – in this role you will configure Traffic Signal Controllers and related equipment for a variety of sites for Standard to highly complex junctions.
You will also:
1. Create software to assist engineers and improve efficiencies across configuration and delivery processes.
2. Ensure all configurations comply with design specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
3. Support testing and commissioning teams with accurate and reliable configuration data.
4. Liaise with design engineers, project managers, and field engineers to resolve configuration issues.
5. Provide feedback on potential improvements to configuration processes and tools.
6. Assist in maintaining Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards within configuration activities.
7. Add and maintain configurations of A-level and multi-level complex sites.

Profile
What we are looking for
8. Certified coding competence (, coding certification or equivalent).
9. Ability to configure, adapt, and troubleshoot controller software.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
11. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
12. Knowledge of traffic signal principles and traffic management systems would be desired.
13. Ability to configure, adapt, and troubleshoot controller software.
14. Competence with computers and configuration tools.
15. Full driving licence.
